Freedom Tunnel, New York City's Underground Art Gallery / by Muhsin Shakoor

We just wanted to share a few shots from the inside of Freedom Tunnel, famous for its graffiti art by notable artist Chris "Freedom" Pape.  Located underneath the beautiful and scenic Riverside Park on on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, the tunnel is also well know for the shantytowns from the 80's and 90's built by the tunnel residents known as "the tunnel dwellers". Please note that exploring this tunnel from the inside is considered trespassing and anyone caught can be detained and fined by Amtrak authorities.
